Ingredients
5 pounds Russet Potatoes (peeled and quartered)
1/2 cup (1 stick) melted butter
2 cups whole milk (warmed)
1/2 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Directions
- Boil potatoes over medium-high heat until fork tender (about 15 minutes) in heavily salted water.
- Drain water, and in the same pot add in the melted butter, whole milk, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Using a potato masher, combine all of the ingredients. It may seem that there is too much milk, but as you continue to mix the potatoes will absorb the liquid.
